California Wildfires

For CBEST paper-based candidates testing on December 9, 2017: In the event that it becomes necessary to close a test center due to the fires, you will be notified by email about the closure and with information to reschedule your test appointment. If you miss an appointment that has not been officially canceled due to a test site closing, you will be considered absent and will not receive a refund or transfer of fees, except as noted in the Absentee Policy.

For computer-based test candidates: A number of test centers, including both VUE testing centers and partner locations on university and college campuses, have announced closures due to the California wildfires. In the event your testing center is closed, you will be notified via phone or email.

If you are currently scheduled for a computer-based test on a date that may be impacted by the wildfires, we strongly recommend rescheduling your test to avoid the possible dangers traveling because of the wildfires may create. Online registration is available 24 hours a day and is the only method for rescheduling your test appointment.

Test appointments must be rescheduled online at least 24 hours in advance. You can reschedule your test appointment by following the steps listed in Changing Your Registration for Computer-based Testing.

If you are unable to cancel your appointment within the allowable time frame, please contact Customer Service for the applicable program for further assistance.
