Change a Registration

Select a testing method to learn how to change your test registration.

Computer-Based Testing

If you wish to change the date, time, or location of your test appointment, you may do so online. The deadline for rescheduling your test appointment is 24 hours before your scheduled testing time. There is no fee for rescheduling a test appointment.

  • CSET: Music Subtest II: If you request to change your test date, test center, or testing time after the scheduling deadline for Music Subtest II, you will not be able to reschedule your test appointment within the same testing window. You will need to reschedule your test appointment for the next available testing window.

To reschedule your test appointment, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your account and select Current Registrations.
  2. Select Reschedule and follow the instructions provided.

If you have been approved for alternative testing arrangements and need to change the date, time, or location of your test appointment, you must call the Pearson VUE Accommodations Department at the phone number provided in your prior corrsepondence to reschedule your test appointment by telephone at least one business day (24 hours) before your scheduled testing time. The Pearson VUE Accommodations Department can be reached between 5:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Pacific time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Paper-Based Testing

  • CBEST

To request registration changes, complete the following steps online:

  1. Sign in to your account and select Current Registrations.
  2. Follow the instructions provided to request your registration changes by the appropriate deadline.
  3. If payment is required, enter your credit, debit, or check card information when prompted.

  4. Within two business days, confirm that the change you have requested has been processed through your account.

Video Assessment

  • RICA Video Performance Assessment

Registration for the RICA Video Performance Assessment is valid for any submission deadline during the program year. However, you must submit your video packets for scoring by the final submission deadline of the program year.

Changing Your CalAPA Registration

If you wish to update your contact information, you may do so through your account at any time before uploading your submission for scoring. To correct your name, date of birth, or Social Security number, you must submit written documentation about the change along with copies of official, original verification of the information (e.g., marriage certificate, court order). See the How Do I Update My Account? page for instructions on submitting these materials.

If you wish to update your responses to background question(s) that you provided during registration, you may do so through your account at any time before submitting your assessment materials for scoring.

If you have not yet submitted materials for scoring and wish to change the cycle for which you are registered, you may do so within the first 30 days of registration by contacting the CalAPA program. For any changes to the cycle for which you are registered made after this 30-day window, you must withdraw your current registration and register for the appropriate cycle.
