CSET: Hmong
The World Languages subtests taken toward a Single Subject Teaching Credential differ from the subtests taken toward a Bilingual Authorization. For more information on certification requirements, see Tests Used Toward Certification.
CSET subtests used toward a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Hmong:
- Hmong Subtest I (test code 198)
- Hmong Subtest II (test code 199)
CSET subtests used toward a Bilingual Authorization for Hmong:
- Hmong Subtest II (test code 199)
- World Languages Subtest IV (test code 250)
- Hmong Subtest V (test code 259)
You may register to take any one subtest in a single test session.
Computer-based test (CBT) only:
- Subtest I: 6 constructed-response questions
- Subtest II: 7 constructed-response questions
- Subtest IV: 50 multiple-choice questions
- Subtest V: 5 constructed-response questions
Review the content domains:
Subtest I: 2 hours
Subtest II: 1 hour 45 minutes
Subtests IV and V: 1 hour and 15 minutes per subtest
15 additional minutes are provided to complete a nondisclosure agreement and tutorial. Any time taken for breaks is considered part of your available testing time.
Subtest II includes one or more assignments that require you to record spoken responses. Refer to the
interactive CBT tutorial for information on how to use the audio capture feature.
