Accessing the EdSp CalTPA Assessment Materials

The 2026–2027 EdSp CalTPA Assessment Materials are now available for viewing and downloading on the CTC Performance Assessment Resources website .

As of August 13, 2026, the Mild to Moderate Support Needs, Extensive Support Needs, Early Childhood Special Education, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Visual Impairments Literacy Assessment Guides were re-released as Version 2.1. All Templates and Math Assessment Guides remain as Version 2.0. Submissions received after July 2, 2026, will be assessed according to their respective Version 2.0 or 2.1 rubrics.

Unpacking the EdSp CalTPA Assessment Materials

• EdSp CalTPA Cycle Guides: a complete set of instructions for completing the cycle, including the evidence candidates are required to submit and the rubrics against which candidates will be assessed
• EdSp CalTPA Cycle Templates: downloadable Word documents candidates use to provide their responses to cycle prompts and submit as evidence for their cycle
• EdSp CalTPA Assessment Materials Updates: a corrections-after-publishing list showing any changes and/or versioning to cycle guides and templates after publication
• EdSp CalTPA Evidence Table Crosswalks: an overview of assessment changes from the previous year to the current year
• CalTPA Program Guide: a supplemental guide for program faculty and candidates providing additional supports and insights into the foundational concepts of the CalTPA
